Question

Windows 10 upgrade

Mar 26, 2016 10:04AM PDT

Can anyone help? Please remember that I am a computer novice. I had a forced upgrade from windows 7 to windows 10 a few weeks ago. I tried to find my way around it but I hate it. My printer didn't work, sd card didn't work and the windows icon stopped working. I tried many fixes and spent many hours doing these all of which didn't work either so I gave up and reverted to Windows 7 and now everything is working perfectly again. Can anyone tell me how (in lay mans language) I can stop the update happening again. Since reverting back 2 days ago my pc has tried to install Windows 10 repeatedly and it's getting very frustrating. I have turned off the automatic update and selected let me choose but it still tries to install. Thank you
