Question

Windows 10 Upgrade

Sep 15, 2015 2:29AM PDT

As I've recently tried to run the setup of my Win 10 free upgrade, I've been getting the error message of "Windows 10 cannot be installed in AUDIT MODE."
How can I manually put Windows 7 -Home Premium into Normal mode?
I've tried with that option of the Startup menu, but something (maybe an automatic driver updater) keeps it in "Audit" upon the startup of Win 7.

http://www.techsupportalert.com/freeware-forum/general-computer-support/15553-cannot-load-win-10-due-to-audit-mode.html is the usual question and the reply has a link with a lot of solutions but if all those fail, you are looking at a do over.

I don't see enough details here but as move 10 upgrades come by there is a disturbing issue with a damaged Windows 7 or 8 system. Upgrades seem to fail when the damage is too deep. Damage can be by malware or registry cleaners. So far a fresh install then the upgrade works.
