Generally, Windows 10 updates are designed so All updates — from security updates and Windows Defender definition updates to optional updates and driver updates — will be installed automatically. And if you're using Windows 10 Home version, you can't really change that option unless you tinker with the "metered" setting on a wi-fi connected computer. But there IS a downloadable "Hide Updates" tool available. Windows 10 Pro does allow an option to disable Automatic updating, but the basic updates will still be revealed on a manual update scan.
