Try the CMD from https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-hardware/removing-nonexistent-printer-from-printer/67e78c55-9fe2-40f3-b8dc-7579a6e546fc?auth=1
I tried it in W10 and it came up.
Windows Update tries to install a non-existent Canon IP90 printer driver and repeatably fails. I've checked the Device Manager, Apps and Features, searched the registry. I'm very stumped. I still get a daily annoying popup saying that it is still failing to update the driver. I removed this printer two years ago and the updates continue to this day. I've tried to shut off any drive updates as a recommendation before but this did not stop it. I'm believing that there is a ghost driver in this machine that won't leave. Any help is appreciated.
