Question

Windows 10 Update

Dec 1, 2015 3:32AM PST

I am running Windows 10 Pro on my desktop computer. "Windows Update" repeatedly sends me a message for a "required update" which is an upgrade to "Windows 10 Pro version 1511, 10586". A "required update" message pops up on my screen at least once a day. I have configured my update settings to "notify me" and let me choose when to download and install Windows Updates. Will I eventually be forced to perform upgrade and are there any consequences if I do not?

It does take a bit of time to install, not as long as a new build, but even with my fast download speed and system on SSDs, it took the better part of an hour for me.

Good luck.
