Question

Windows 10 - Unwanted

May 20, 2016 1:02PM PDT

It was irritating enough that I was constantly getting the Windows 10 Update notice but now I am being asked to schedule a time for the update. I am happy with Windows 7 and don't want Windows 10. How can I stop this harassment from Microsoft and aggressive attempt to force me to get Windows 10? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Get Gibson Research NEVER 10 - it will keep w10 out. Steve Gibson is a REAL computer expert and understands all this stuff very well - to the extent that I am glad he is "one of the good guys" since I am sure he could do almost anything if he weren't.

I've used his software for many years and its always good stuff and I trust it.

Another Option

Never 10 is a good solution, there are a few more. I've used GWX Control Panel, which also lets you block any or all Windows 10 update options. Again, free and will run off a USB stick without installation.
