Question

Windows 10 touchpad error??

Feb 26, 2016 10:31AM PST

Hey guys,

I have a notebook HP 650 which has been shipped with Windows 8.1. I have upgraded the windows to version 10 Pro.

After this a weird issue is happening. When I try to rename a file after a moment the file looses focus (behaviour similar to a click outside the file being renamed). What is even stranger is that this happens ONLY in case the notebook is being charged. When it runs on the battery everything is smooth.

I just cant wrap my head around this, as I have never came across issue like this before.

I have tried reinstalling both windows and driver, without any luck.
Any suggestions?

Answer
I find touchpads do that a lot.

The new ones are even more sensitive so try TouchFreeze or look in your pad settings for similar.

Didnt work

OK, so I have tried installing TouchFreeze. Didn't help. Since it makes problems only when the notebook is pluged. I'd susspect a bug in drivers or something similar.

Any other suggestions?

You may be right.

Since it's a laptop you know to check at the laptop's own support page for Windows 10 drivers and the app that touchpads use. Again, for this sometimes you have to get both parts. Driver and touchpad app.
