Question

Windows 10 problem

Jan 5, 2016 5:26PM PST

I have Acer Aspire 5517 lap top.
Recently upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7.
Ran fine for a month. Was working to update a file from jump drive. I powered OFF the laptop while jump drive inserted. The screen went black.
I cannot get the screen back. Tried Alt+Contol+Del and other keys but the screen remains black.
Anybody knows how to fix this?

Clarification Request
My brother had one from 2009.

It died. Try the old power off, remove charger and battery, hold power button for 60 seconds, release, slip in battery and charger, test again.

If it's like my brothers, we salvaged thd HDD for use in an USB case to save the files.

Answer
(NT) Can't you reboot and fix it? If not, I hope you have backup.
