Windows 10 or Framework 4.5.2?

I'm trying to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro and after every attempt I receive messages about a failure during the
Framework 4.5.2 update
What's the relation between them?

What's installed other than Windows there?

If you have an antivirus suite it could be protecting OS files and more. I find that big updates work best when I uninstall other than Microsoft antivirus and firewalls. This can upset some clients but that's the breaks.

4.5.2 is available for an offline install as well as 4.6.1. I'd install these before the OS upgrade.

And, as always backup the entire system with a disk clone app so you can recover to your working system if the upgrade blows up.
