Question

Windows 10 not booting properly.

Apr 23, 2017 4:55AM PDT

My asus zenbook is 6 months old with Windows 10 pre-installed and with a recovery partition. No USB recovery or CD for your Information.
The problem is once my windows is loaded, it takes me to the home screen( where if you clicks on the screen will ask you for password) . If I click on the homescreen instead of password screen,it just goes back to the home screen again and again. I can enter my password in safe mode and login but the desktop is refreshing automatically that I can hardly do anything. Tried to reset the pc but it failed at 3 percent and unable to restore since it says no restore points available.Any help?

- What exactly do you mean with "reset"?
- If resetting from the recovery partition, the ASUS prescribed way, doesn't work, it's a warranty issue. They should solve that, not you.

Answer
Looks like warranty to me.

As to USB or recovery media, that's now ours to make when we get our new PC. Can be upsetting for some so I understand it if you opted out. (But not optional if you don't want to buy recovery media.)
