This sounds similar to the sound driver issue noted at https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-update/no-audio-after-w10-update-may-2018/9d1b2d71-fdd0-4638-afb9-fe962619f328
I'm been taken to task over my stance to disable automatic driver updates. But here we are again.
HI everybody,
after a recent update of Windows, my mic doens't works. Before the update the mic worked properly, I think that's a driver issue. I use the common 3.5 earphones with the integrated mic. When i open the information tab of the Realtek drivers it says:
"Il dispositivo HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0662&SUBSYS_103C2B5B&REV_1003\4&b4594a3&0&0001 richiede un'ulteriore installazione."
Transated: "The device HDAUDIO [...] requires an additional installation"
I tried to re-install the audio drivers few times, manually or automatically, but the result is always the same. Can you help me with that strange issue?
I repeat, before the Windows update, my earphones worked properly, now my voice input is not recognized.
