Question

Windows 10 microphone auto adjusts itself to 50%

Jun 6, 2016 6:20AM PDT

hi,

i have really annoying problem with microphone boost. im using Zoiper call software and microphone is auto adjusted to 50% all the time, no matter what setting i choose. people can hardly hear me. i have microphone boost +10 in settings, in advanced settings app exclusive rights are unchecked. it doesnt change anything, if its checked or unchecked. while im on call, i try to manually increase mic volume, but it automaticly hops back to 50%. i have skype and steam installed, but i cant find any settings, that could meddle with microphone. in skype auto adjusting is disabled too.

i havent had this kind of problem on windows 7, and also i havent had this problem when i upgraded my windows 7 to windows 10, since it saved all my settings. recently i reinstalled my system to SSD and this started happening. please help me solve this, i tried all i could find in the internet, but it didnt help.

Remember I don't own your model or have this setup. (Yes, I have a new laptop with W10.) So at this point it's a warranty issue. They may tell you it's not but it's a good reason to ask for a refund if they don't support it.
