Question

Windows 10 issues

Jul 9, 2016 9:45PM PDT

I am curious how many people are having issues with Windows 10 . Windows 10 has been a nightmare for me . I tried it once and I had the issue of the start button not working . So I rolled back to Windows 8 . When I rolled backed to Windows 8, iTunes was damaged. I could not update or uninstall it. I waited and tried Windows 10 again and I had more issues . For myself, Windows 10 is a bug invested system. These are the issues I had to deal with while using Windows are :
-Start button not working
-Cortona not working
-Right click on taskbar icons not working
-unable to update or uninstall iTunes
-start screen apps not working
-Windows photos not working
-Windows store does not work.

Until you get a new computer I guess you just have to stick with 8.

At the office all good here.

And we put in an extra push at the office to upgrade everything we could before the free upgrade date comes around. Not once did the issues you note pop up for us.

However I finally saw the Start button issue and it worked fine in a second user account so that tells me our old corrupt profile bug (present since before 2000!) is still with us.

-> Let me share our routine for the upgrades. We uninstall the antivirus, firewall and CD/DVD emulators if found. This seems to be what others don't do and maybe why we are batting 300.

I just ran into one that's really weird but...

I am not going to blame win10 update because I have no proof. Just recently, don't know when, ALL my .iso images wipe clean off the Hdd. The .iso on the computer that's not connected to the internet remain, weird.

If you can make a new post in the CNET W10 Forum

Maybe we can tackle it. Since ti's a fresh install, I have a new dangerous tool to try if you can't find drivers.

right now I am conducting a little experiment. Maybe the problem was just a one time thing.

I had an issue with the store not working

photos not working and mail not working. I deducted I had a corrupt profile. I created a new profile and gave it admin right and everything worked fine and is still working fine. I originally had a MS account that the profile was corrupted. I created a local account and assign admin rights to it. Logged in with the MS account I copied the folders in my old user folder to the new folder c:\userOLD MSaccout to C:\users\New LocalAccount that that moved all my favorites and docs to be easily use by the new account.
