..then it usually fails. Although drivers may appear up to date, they aren't installed and recognized as they should be. Most will recommend wiping the drive and reinstalling the operating system and all drivers and programs on the new machine.
Of course, you can battle it out by uninstalling the audio card entries in Device Manager and then restart the computer so it re-recognizes the audio device and it could possibly reinstall it correctly. But most folks don't have "up to date" mastered. (Opening Device Manger and checking for updates isn't the correct way to check such.) It's better to visit the audio card manufacturer's website, download the latest driver for the card, then install it manually after uninstalling the device.

Hello, recently built this PC using a hardrive from my old PC. A couple days ago my audio for my headphones randomly stopped working. I ensured it wasn't just my headphones being trashed by trying another pair. Unfortunately, it seems like another issue.

here is what i believe to be the problem, if i delete the one with the error and scan again it comes back, both of those have up to date drivers.
