Question

Windows 10

Nov 22, 2015 1:07AM PST

I have windows 10 installed on my laptop which I can't log in to because of error "logonui. Exe application error the instruction at 0x00000006fb7a5e0 referenced memory at 0x0000000eddb14e8 the memory could not be read". I can't open safe mode or bios or boot device selection menu. There is no option to do anything. I have tried f8,f2[bios],f12[boot device] f5 etc but nothing happens. Please help.

I can follow the keys through f12 (boot device), but what does "f5 etc." do, and what exactly is"nothing happens".

I'd reinstall Windows 10 from the disk or stick you make with the Windows Media Creator.

Answer
If you can't get to the BIOS, it sounds like a hdwe problem.

I'd get hold of a Linux disc and see if you can boot from that. If you can't, you've either got a CMOS virus or a hardware problem. I'd love to be wrong about that, but that's what it sounds like to me.

Good luck.
