hello,
got a problem with a 266mhz laptop. it says 'finished updating system files. continuing to load windows' every time you reboot.
I had a similar problem with a tower pc. I replaced the cmos battery to cure it.
if the cmos batteries are dead in the laptop, does the power from the wall power the bios to hold the settings, or not?
should I try changing the cmos batteries?
