Have a look in Event view for another error you can also turn off the time synchroniser in services to see if this IS the one causing the trouble.
Also follow the links to "help and support" when viewing the eror in event viewer.
Here is a google I did

My computer recently started freezing up, and only responds to holding the "off" button. This has happened since creating an apparently successful network between a Win Xp Home machine and an XP Pro machine. The event viewer shows a high number of Win32Time errors with the following info:
Time Provider NtpClient: An error occurred during DNS lookup of the manually configured peer '%1'. NtpClient will try the DNS lookup again in %3 minutes. The error was: %2
1) How do I resolve the error, and 2) is this likely to be causing the hang time on my computer?
