Softwares like CD DEMON or similar. Sometimes you just uninstall CD writer or emulation softwares and try again, sometimes you boot SAFE MODE and try.
This is an ADVANCED OS so you are not usually a newbie to run it.

When I try to install win2000 service pack4 I get an error message "service pack4 error: the file atapi.sys is open or in use by another appication. close all appications and retry."
I closed all appications that were running. I removed the spyware on my computer and unloaded the antivirus program but I still get the above error. I even tried installing sp4 in the safe mode with same results.
Any suggestions. Thanks for your help.
