...and once it's replaced, visit the ethernet card manufacturer's website to make sure you have the latest driver that's compatible with Windows 10. Ethernet cards are fairly cheap and should be easy to replace.

Am I the only person still having this problem.
I still cant connect to the internet via Ethernet unless I uninstall the adapter then restart system... have to do this every time I start pc from shutdown.
I have tried everything recommended, the only difference is I have a custom built pc which I have had for a number of years now, so don't know if these two factors have anything to do with it.
I've had little to no help from Microsoft so haven't a clue where to go now.
