insider program that is basically Beta testing. It started like a year before Windows 10 was released. Windows 10 is about 1 year and a half from the first being first released to the public. Windows 10 was released as the last version of Windows. It's different as updates are basically released monthly (fixes and security) and new features once or twice a year. OEM is a version of windows that is sent to the OEM and they basically install on their PC's with their device drivers. The OEM supports the OEM version of Windows and not MS. OWM versions of Windows have existed for years. MS supports the retail version of Windows. With the new process there is no Final Windows 10 and it will be updated frequently no Service packs.
I had a WinXP for a lotta years. Obviously. I really didn't know what I was getting into with purchasing a PC with Win10. It appears that this OS is still in beta, or at least isn't finalized.
So whatever the value of my suppositions, I wonder what I have here. Some of the older functionality, such as using hotkeys, seems to be missing. Where can I find an explanation of what this is, and if I'm right, when it will be finalized? And whether my having bought an OEM version entitles me to update when the commercial version is released?
Thanks very much for any help with my mystified condition.
