But is still entirely our choice. For me I use the Google DNS 18.104.22.168 where ever I go.
Some sticks need drivers. I defer to the supplier for those.
Maybe someone can guide me here... I am no techpro.
I have a SurfacePro3, fully up to date Win10 (bought in NL, used in IT). I want to use a USB connected dial-in modem when not in wifi range, as happens often here. It is working fine on another Win10 laptop -let's call that one NR2. Not on my Surface. I noticed via ipconfig that the DNS selection (automatic) for NR2 (also automatic) is different from my Surface.
And more importantly - is this relevant?
If so, how can I force the Surface to use the NR2's DNS setting? Would this help?
NB the stick I use is the 4G systems XS stick P14; sw XS manager ver 3.3 (latest); connection via H3G Italy, H SUPA (UMTS): via Tre.it as provider.
Thanks for any hints and suggestions. Erik
