Win XP taskbar problem

Aug 1, 2007 1:54AM PDT

After 2 months of issue after issue, I pulled Vista and did clean install of XP Pro. When I uncheck "keep taskbar on top of other windows" it hangs. Same thing happened when I tried to use "classic folders". I did a safe mode boot and was able to change the folders but the taskbar setting reverted back to "taskbar on top".

Appreciate your help.

Not enough to guess.

While I did run into that the owner had some "cracked" XP so all bets were off. To fix that one we had to get a legitimate Windows XP SP2 CD (and license) and thankfully for them a XP REPAIR INSTALL fixed this and other issues. They didn't lose their files this time.

Did you untick "auto-hide the taskbar"
