Requires the BDA driver set available from http://www.kworld.com.tw/en/index_digital.htm
I had been to this page before, but there is *nothing* to say that if you have MCE, you need these drivers.
Why on earth the originally shipped driver CD doesn't include these drivers I don't know, or why the PC vendor shipped the PC (with XP MCE) and tuner without reference to the required drivers.
Hopefully I have just saved someone else the hassle I have been through.
I'm fed up messing around with a badly designed digital TV tuner driven by shoddy, clunky, and all together nasty, software. Bug ridden, inconsistent, devoid of troubleshooting documentation, and the cause of system crashes until it was removed. Even worse that it isn't even designed to work "within" MCE using the same remote control, and worse still that I can't find a tuner that's got any better a reputation; when pushed, everyone I have spoken to who has got a digital TV tuner to work (XP Pro or XP MCE) has admitted that it was far from a plug and play experience, and more a matter for some geeks to do some meddling!
Surely there's one out there somewhere that is a) "plug and play" and b) designed for use within XP MCE SP2?
Do Microsoft market one that I've managed to miss?
For info I live in the UK so it is the UK Freeview terrestrial service that I wish to receive.
