Win TV Use With Comcast Digital Service

Dec 31, 2004 6:54AM PST

I plan to buy a new Dell desktop soon with 2005 MCE and Win TV. The specs say Win TV has a basic 125 channel receiver. Using Comcast's digital TV cable box, will I be able to record digital and/or HDTV movie channels?

Thanks for your help.

Tom

ATI has some HD product, but reviews show such to be "in their infancy" and not ready for consumers. Early adopters may like them.

You can record the the reuglar cable using the video out of the cable reciver, but it will be standard tv. ATI hdtv card is for over the air recption only. It works good with XP-SP2 with the new ATI drivers, but has some problems with XP-MCE 2005, I have to reinstall the drivers if I reboot the pc. John
