Win 95 Drvspace missing

by Cillairne / June 9, 2004 8:34 AM PDT

I'm working with a neighbour's computer to get it running for her but not sure how to proceed.
Apparently her daughter has been loading and playing Dos games and activated a bypass of the Drvspace.bin.

I can't reinstall Windows without this and cannot read the hard drive ...only shows a config.sys

All of the solutions to this indicate changing file names, etc but I can't do that as the file names are not visible!

Is there any other way around this ...I'm not familar with the computer and cannot read the bios on it ..
Thank you to anyone who can help!
Eleanor

http://www.mdgx.com/msdos.htm notes Drvspace and how its controlled. You'll have to take this web site plus your problems and see if you can fix it.
