Question

Win 8

Aug 15, 2013 8:34PM PDT

I have a new Dell 660 Win 8 when I started to set it up everything went smooth at first filled in email address & p/word ,signed in membership to M/soft using same address & p/w then M/soft wouldnt accept my p/w,I seemed unable to get to the stage where I could D/load Classic Shell& any other programs i needed,I also could`nt find a way to close down the P/c as per norm & ended up \usig the on/off button on pc
the dell came with a disk but no instructions to insert it but on the disk it stated use only to reinstall software already installed on p/c.do I need to put disk in & start from scratch I am a bit concerned about switching off on p/c
as you will guess from above I am knocking on a bit in age

Given the story.

Call Dell and if they can't fix this, then return it for another make and model.

This is not the stone age of computing so such troubles are sent back to makers that don't get it.

You can download the driver from Canon's web site

Answer
Second answer. Don't use the email logon.

At office and home I don't use that. It's too dependent on Microsoft's services. Next time, local logins?
