The only thing I see wrong anywhere and I don't know where to look other than I've seen some things online about where to look, is that I have two Network adapters that have code 10 errors "can't start" they are Microsoft ISATAP Adapter and Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface...

Mixing multiple protection apps

Can result in odd problems. To date I've never worried about ISATAP and such.

Code 10 is usually driver issues.

Try going back to a clean stock Windows and get it working then add ONE antivirus/protection system.

Reinstall windows...

Yes it seems Microsoft everything works fine like defender although it too acted up a bit. Windows firewall working. But even if I turn both off ASC malware fighter and AVG can't update themselves and Dropbox won't install. Used Bittorrent on this computer perhaps a virus affected something... FB messenger works fine and Google Chrome and other things... not sure I have the Windows 7 to reinstall... could buy 10...

Sorry if I was unclear.

Clean to me is when the apps like ASC, AVG are uninstalled and cleaned off.

-> Whoops? Bittorrent users get the most interesting infections and troubles.

I think you may end up installing the OS again.

Yes indeed

Karma for torrenting yes may need to reinstall OS

I can clean off the programs and reinstall too but I did a bit of that already and problems continue. The biggest one being if Dropbox can't even install. Windows Defender doesn't find any infection and Trend Micro housecall 60% in progress right now... but I run AVG and ASC together on about 10 other computers in the family for years with no problems so just this one seems to be. And it's the only one that did any torrenting... oops

Possible good news is I have two hard drives the C for OS and D for data and have a folder "WindowsImageBackup" on D which I think I asked the tech guys who set it up to do for me. So in case like this I could use that to reinstall to C. Not sure how though...

Mixing antivirus.

Yes, you have folk that have success. I'm not here to open a debate on this. When there are failures like the above I kill the torrent, along with anything else I can to get it working and avoid a reload.

At the office this is costly at 150 per hour so 98% of the time the owner copies their files out or installs a new SSD. SSD upgrades are now common so many just remove the old HDD, install the new SSD to kill two issues with one move.

This is free advice.
1. Move to as clean an OS you can.
2. Use Grif's advice at http://www.cnet.com/forums/discussions/how-to-remove-pup-option-603542/#post-f742c795-5881-433b-a29b-6d758efe5cd3
3. Run CHKDSK /F on all drives.
4. Try SFC /SCANNOW
