Win 7 Error Message

Jul 18, 2010 7:28AM PDT

Recently, I've noticed the following error message appear intermittently on shutdown:

ccSvcHst.exe -- application error

The instruction at 0x69a808cd referenced memory at 0x6cbdc1eo. The memory could not be read.

I just click ok, and the system shuts down. But I am unable to find a cause or solution for this error message.

I am running Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit on a self-build machine, with an Asus P5Q Deluxe MB, Intel Q9550 CPU, and 8 GB RAM.

The system seems to be running normally except for this occasional error message.

Thanks in advance for any help!

That's a Symantec piece of software. Ask them what to do next.

Thanks for the response. Coincidentally, I recently installed NIS 2010! So your answer makes perfect sense.

I will touch base with Symantec.
