If you've recently added anything new to the PC, go back to before if possible. If this appears have a recent driver or s/w install or update, again return to prior setup. In some cases provided not a true h/w based problem possible only s/w one. That's the reason to return to prior setup. Look into a "restore point" of a prior date before problem. -OR- as above you noted it happened when something new was done.

As for memory issue, swap ram sticks around or install only 1-set if fully populated, etc. Like if you 4 ram sticks, try 2, that being a set(bank 0). Use care when doing so. There is a mmemory test maybe buried in the bios, check that. Also a popular memory tester is "memtest86" pgm.. http://memtest86.com/

Also, if your PC gets hot or definitely very, very warm.....damage may have been done, the results being the weak link component that falters until it fails. Yours being in the weak state, thus problematic until it actually fails.
