Windows 2000 knows nothing about recordable media. That feature showed up in XP.
If you don't have CD recording software, try this freebie -> http://www.cdburnerxp.se/
While I don't give lessons on CDR usage, the site at http://www.cdrfaq.org/ pretty much tells all.
I'm trying to create a complete system back up using a CD in my Compact Disk Drive. If I right click the d drive with my cd in it asks if I want it formatted, I click yes and it says it's not formatable. I have earlier backed up on my floppy but now want the works backed up. The system wants to download to the media location on the c drive but runs out of space.
Is it possible to write to this disk in d drive from a file in C?
Thanks for any info! I'm new at this cd thing.
