Question

Win 10 msi.dll error

May 7, 2016 10:54PM PDT

start, cortana and edge don't work anymore. When my desktop loads, I get multiple error boxes. ACDaemon.exe, Jusched.exe, DiscWizardMonitor.exe, and GoogleUpdate.exe all show as "bad image", with text stating "C:\Windows\System32\msi.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.....Error status 0xc0000020"
Computer won't complete a restore, or a reset. Any ideas???

If the reset inside from Windows 10 fails, try a reinstall from a disk or usb-stick (make one, if necessary, via the WINDOWS MEDIA CREATION TOOL - google that). If that fails, the machine needs repair. I'd start with trying a new hard disk.
