Will Zoo Tycoon 2 crash my laptop?

by AmaryllisG / May 29, 2017 2:52 PM PDT

So when I was younger, I played Zoo Tycoon 2 a lot. I absolutely loved it. Problem was, it developed the habit of crashing the computers it was installed on after a while. BSoD would come up and it would never be the same again. We had anti-virus software, and an official CD to download from, so it wasn't any malware or anything. These were desktop computers BTW.

Anyway, what I'm wondering, is if my computer (a laptop) will have any problems if I try it out again. My specs are:
Product name: HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC
OS: Windows 10
Processor: Intel Core i-5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz 2.40GHz
Installed memory: 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit OS, x64-based processor

If it does not work uninstall it.

The game is quite old so w10 is not listed as a supported os.

Not about OS compatibility

In reply to: Try it

But my question is not whether or not it is compatible with my OS, rather will running it ruin my system. The older computers were compatible, but it overloaded them.

A good PC is not ruined by running apps.

But your experience has made you wary. It's more likely the prior PCs needed repair or cleaning.

You will need to define what you mean by ruin or overload.
The game reqs are quite light so any modern pc should not have a problem.
