I don't have an i Pad, but I do have Office 2010 on several W7 computers, and since I am retired I can always use the copy of Office on my Desktop or Laptop. I guess if you only have an i Pad it may have some value, but there seem to be free things out there that may be suitable for most people. I personally don't care for a subscription model. I would rather buy it like I have for my two computers and then use it for several years. I bought a 3 install of Office 2010, so that makes it rather affordable. Any further computers in the future, I will probably use one of the free Office programs out there. I have Office type programs on both of my Android Tablets, but haven't used them extensively. For someone who has a genuine requirement for Office 2013, it may make sense to buy and install it. For me personally no way. Office 2010 is plenty good for me, and Microsoft will likely support it to 2020 so will likely stick with it. The reason that they have to install so many updates for this program is that they never seem to be able to fabricate a program that doesn't have a million unessential entry points which can threaten your security. I have Comodo Firewall and Avast Anti Virus, so have not had any viruses or Trojans infect my machine.
