Question

Will video/audio be downgraded by using USB to HDMI adapter?

Dec 6, 2013 3:25AM PST

My PC has no HDMI ports but TV do. So I have to use the USB to HDMI adapter or cable to connect my PC to TV. I wonder whether the video or audio signal quality will be downgraded by comparing with using the HDMI cable directly. Thank you for your answer.

USB data rate being what it is and more, you will also run into issues if you try to play Blu-Ray from a PC which should fail due to DHCP rules.

I think you have many new posts and maybe you should reveal what the PC and HDTV is so folk can answer with better answers.

The short answer would be yes. As wpgwpg said, an after market vid card HDMI- out capable would be the way to go assuming your system has an available PCiE slot.
