Yes, but gamers don't like such lowend solutions.

Nice price but gamers tend to get upset at laptops and lower end solutions.

Thanks for the reply. He already has BF3 for PS3, but he wants to play with a friend on PC every once in a while. Basically just looking for a laptop that will play BF3 at all, even on low settings (in addition to using it for school). Do you think this laptop would be able to handle that?

Look at the GPU in that.

It's not at the bottom of what's out there so it should work. But I have my doubts it will be on par with the PS3.

Is the PS3 cheaper?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. He already has a PS3 and usually plays BF3 on that, but his friend has it on PC so they can't play together. He needs a laptop for school anyway, so he's looking to kill two birds with one stone.
