Will the Polk audio Monitor 30's do the job?

Nov 19, 2006 12:44PM PST

Will the Polk audio Monitor 30's do the job or should I spend the extra cash and place the Monitor 40's up front for my left and right channel. I already have the 30's sitting in the box. I can test them untill x-mas. If I dont have to spend the extra cash for the 40's I dont want to. I just want a rocking system for the slightly above average audio consumer. Any info would help. THANKS!!

How big is your room??

For a typical room 14x17x8 or something close to this they should be fine.
Well Monitor 40s for fronts and the 30's for surrounds would be very good. If you want to do this later on then go for it. John

I have monitor 40's, they are WAY better than the 30's and totally worth the money. The mid-low frequency response you get with the 40's is quite remarkable for such small drivers.
