Unless the phone supports 1800 mhz, unlocking it won't solve your problem.
Hi guys I have a question.I recently purchased a Samsung SHG D415 and it is a dual-band for 900 and 1900mghz.I travel to Europe to be exact to Poland and the frequency band there is 1800mghz.If I would unlockj this phone would the phone work then on the 1800 frequency? And a second thing I also have a Sony Ericsson T616 and it's a tri-band cell when I took it to Poland and just inserted the SIM card from ERA GSM which is a phone comapny in Poland the telephone worked. When I brought it here i still have the SIM card form Poland and I'm able to receive calls etc but 1 thing changed only is the CIngular logo. And when I inserted the SIM card to my dad's phone to see if it works on his Motroola V300 which is tri-band a message showed up to contatc the vendor. Is this due to the phone because it is unlocked?if it was unlocked would I be able to use it with the polish SIM like on the Sony t616 ?thanks
