Strange you asked 100% because if the CPU lasted say 10 years, 100% of 10 years is 10 years less. That would be unacceptable.

i have a . I am thinking of running foldinghome which uses all of the cpu's unused resources. What I'm wondering is if this extra use will make it or the motherboard wear out faster or if it's designed for that. Because I would like to contribute to foldinghome if it doesn't do anything to my computer. And if I run it I would be running it 24/7 would this matter? (I normally only have it off 8 hours or less a day right now so its only an 8 hr increase.)
