The rather old say i5-520m on the usual board with GPU and dedicated video RAM did fine. There are some gamers that forgot the GPU and want to eek out a few more FPS. For them let's peg it as a 10% CPU clock increase would change a 15 FPS to at best 16 FPS.
Hope you follow that.
I don't want to bother if it won't do anything obviously but I don't have the money for a CPU/Motherboard upgrade at the moment so if this is something that will gain me at least .35 GHz on each of its 4 cores I'm willing to spend the work.
