Will only boot to black screen

I have a Presario V2000T, S/T: V2405US, P/N: EH458US, boots only to a black screen I can see the flashing, Operating System not found?

When I select the esc key to select the boot order then click the hard drive it goes back to the black screen.
and it the same thing black screen.

I check the CMOS area find that it does not detect the HDD?
But I'm able to go into F8 screen with no problem? and started to load all of the following

The Updates is as Follows:
1. SMB Bus Controller Chipset.
2. Video Controller Chipset
3. BIOS
4. Windows Update SP1 & SP2.
5. Audio
check the Device Manager and every drive checks out just fine?

So is there anyone can tell me what is next that I can fix this Boot Blackout. or is there anyway that I can make this computer detect this HDD?

Black Screen

FYI on the Presario V2000T computer I changed the HDD from a 40GB to a 100GB HDD. the 40GB was damage beon repair? the computer did not detect any HDD.
But I'm able to get into F8 screen and do all this search with not problem????
