Will my Hitachi 42HDT55 Plasma TV work in London?

Jan 20, 2005 7:03AM PST

Hi,

I'm planning on taking my Plasma TV to London. I want to know if it will work there. I will of course get a voltage traansformer and PAL/NTSC converter.

My big question is will it work with the 50hz vs the 60Hz in the US? Will this damage the TV?

The manual of course says not to hook up a 50Hz source, but will it acutally damage the unit or prevent it from working? I know many types of electrical appliances work fine on 50Hz.

Model: Hitachi 42HDT55

Any insight is appreciated. If you also have any additional advice on the signal converters or transformers I'm happy to hear it.
Thx.
MJ
