General discussion

will my hardware support vista?

Feb 21, 2007 6:51PM PST

im upgrading my hardware for my computer to support vista. here is my new configuration -

1. Mobo - ASUS P5LD2-VM R2.0 - 945g express chipset
2. Processor - Intel Pentium D950 - 3.4 GHz
3. RAM - 4 GB Dual Channel DDR-II
4. Video Card - nVIDIA GeForce 7100 GS - 256mb - im not a gamer!!!!
5. Sound Card (Onboard) - RealTek HD Audio ALC882
6. LAN (Onboard) - Intel GLAN
7. Speakers - Creative SBS 370 (2.1)

Now, ive found vista drivers for my video card and sound card, but im still worried whether these specs are enough to run vista on it or not....

on the asus site this board is one of the vista certified models, but when i search for the drivers for this model of my chipset, i cant find it on the asus site.
Can sum1 please confirm whether this mobo will work with vista or not and where can i find drivers for my chipset and also whether the rest of the configuration is enough for vista premium or not.....

THANX!!!!
