Will Kerry denounce this....

or allow it to happen without saying anything about it?

It's no surprise that hardened electronic activists are planning to jam up the servers of GeorgeWBush.com, GOP.com and related websites, once the Republican National Convention gets underway Aug. 29.

"We want to bombard (the Republican sites) with so much traffic that nobody can get in," said CrimethInc, a member of the so-called Black Hat Hackers Bloc. It's one of several groups planning to distribute software tools to reload Republican sites over and over again. These FloodNet programs are similar to hackers' distributed denial-of-service attacks, which overwhelm a server with thousands and thousands of simultaneous requests for information.....more

I realize Kerry probably wouldn't approve of these tactics but remaining silent identifies a different kind of character than that of someone who publicly calls for all to refrain from such illegal tactics. Will Kerry speak up or remain silent?

Hi Clay,

Hasn't someone been prosecuted for a DOS attack before? I think that if this happens, the people responsible should be prosecuted for their crime.

(And I would have thought the same during the DNC.)

Hi Clay:

I don't know that Kerry has to make a point of denouncing activity that is clearly illegal. It's also doubtful that the people planning this DOS attack are doing it because they're pro-Kerry.

It would be nice, though, if Bush would denounce the "Swift Boat" ad, since his campaign's official position is that Kerry's service record is not in dispute (and the ad was created by Bush supporters).

(and the ad was created by Bush supporters).

In reply to: Re: Will Kerry denounce this....

And you know this HOW?

It is statistically IMPOSSIBLE for ALL the signed members of the Association to be "Bush Supporters".

It is far more likely that, EXACTLY as they state, they simply do not feel Kerry is man enough nor that he has the integrity to hold the office.

A review and a little bit of educating oneself to the facts of the statements lends even more credence to their ad. Look at how many times his fabricated story about Cambodia has been changed by Kerry since contradictions between his story and official records have been shown. Look at the fact that three of the crewmen flatly contradict Kerry's Cambodia claims and two of the three are his ardent supporters.

Look at Kerry's STATEMENT to the press that he would release ALL his military records then backing out of it then releasing SOME (carefully selected) of them on his site. Even the Fitness Reports presented by his appologists as being demonstrative of his worth are hollow and mediocre at best and quite damning in general if one takes the time to read them and realize what they really say--he actually had no choice but to leave the Navy because any potential carreer was destroyed by the reports posted (and the unposted reports are even worse).

Did you notice, Josh...

Josh did you notice that that site only offers documentary proof of the 3rd Purple Heart? What about the other two, why can't we see all the information?

Have you even bothered...

checking their facts? I already pointed out a few you should investigate before allowing them to pull your wool over your eyes.

Kerry put in a call to Gore to reinvent the internet and stop it for him and then take credit for something again that he didn't do?

Bush and the Republican party has been denouncing all 527's, whereas Kerry is only denouncing one. Hmmm.

Hi, Clay.

Why should he? Bush hasn't denounced the Swift Boat ads, even though one of their key financial backers (Houston homebuilder Bob Perry) is a "Bush Ranger" and key texas supporter. Yjos effort, otoh, is by a bunch of left-win crazies with no ties to the kerry campaign or Democratic Party.

Bush probably should say something about the Swift Boat ads but they also are probably at least partially true. We'll probably never know the whole truth about Kerry's Purple Hearts though since he obviously has something to hide in the medical records behind them.

The Kerry supporters are now stooping to obviously illegal tactics on the other hand. Does Kerry tacitly condones these tactics or not?

I'm not so sure he doesn't approve. He sure didn't

object to Whoopi Goldberg's tawdry remarks. Edward's didn't see anything objectionable either.
