by lakersfreak24 / November 3, 2008 2:51 PM PST

Im planning on purchasing a high-def camcorder along with a playstation 3. My question is simple; can I play my recorded image from the camcorder to dvd on the playstation 3?

The statement that says "Bluray and other media" under the update info for FW1.82 means that you can record your high definition videos to a standard DVD player in AVCHD format and play it in HD through the BluRay player. You do not need a BluRay disc burner.

Im not buying a DVD Camcorder. I'm buying a high-def flash or hard drive camcorder and was wondering if I burn the file on DVD (Standard and high-def) will it play on my PS3?
