Resolved Question

Will 3 mbps be enough?

Dec 23, 2013 2:42AM PST

Hello there, living in the counrty has its' ups and downs. One well known down is internet service. Currently I use US Cellular, LTE internet for the whole house. This comes with a limit on usage and on average 3 Mbps download. I am contemplating switching to prarie inet provider but based on where I live 3 mbps is what I am rated to have. Now the question is will this be enough. I currently play Xbox Live pretty easily with my speeds now, but what about netflix, hulu plus and so on? is it worth the hassle to change?

Sure, yes, will work. As to gaming, it's rarely been a speed issue even a decade later but the RESPONSE TIME. I'm sure you're heard gamers carry on for years about ping time.

Thanks for the response. I'm perfectly fine with a few second buffer before a movie streams, but you agree that 3 mbps won't be a hassle when it comes to netflix?
