Thanks but

I followed this link but ran into two problems with Vista. My run command no longer is available from the start menu and my remove program option is no longer available from my control panel.

I am sure that if I can get back these two functions that I can remove wild tangent, but how do I get these back?

Thanks in advance for your help.

In Vista the following should apply. Here is the way I do it:

1. The "Run" command is available - Start>All Programs>Accessories>Run.

2. Add/Remove programs is now "Programs and Features" in the control panel. Start>Control Panel>Programs and Features.

Not sure if this is what you are asking. Hope it helps.

Wild Tangent Removal

Wild Tangent is a software package like so many others.
It just happend to be Spyware.
It will be found in your Add/remove list in your control panel. DE-Install it as you would any other piece of software.

Then open Windows Explorer and make sure the folder has been removed from your Program Files folder.

Several Anti-Spyware programs will also remove it.
I use AdAware SE/Personal and Spybot Search & Destroy to clean up my own customers' PC's.

Cheers Mates!

Additional Info

WildTangent is a webdriver for many games that come supplied on new HP and Compaq computers plus some of the online game sites use it and it will come on certain CD games that also use it.
The problem with Wild Tangent is that it installs an autoupdater that is turned on by default.
Wild Tangent's updater will transmit data about the computer on which it is installed.
If you have AIM, My Yahoo as your homepage, or any of the WildTangent games on your computer, it might return.
