Wii!?!?!

Feb 26, 2007 12:04PM PST

So I got the Wii for Christmas and I still cant get the dang thing to connect to the internet, and the only two games I own for it are Zelda and Warioware (I don't count Wii Sports since it came with it). Anyways is it even going to be worth keeping? I own the 360 and I know for a fact that I am getting a PS3 for the birthday in a month, so I don't see the point in having a console I barely play and I can't even get on to the Virtual Console, so I can't download the classic Mario's, the main reason I got the Wii. Anyone got some suggestions on what I should do... Stick it out or say goodbye to the Wii and just some 360 games that I can actually tell who is the bad guy and who is the good guys.

He's preteen and all I handed him was our wifi password. It's working.

I find us older folk seem to be rejected by these newfangled devices.

Haha... thanks, I ain't exactly the old folk, still a mature teen, but I find it funny that I can set up the 360 and other electronic in a heartbeat, but for some reason this Wii is keeping me up at night, but I gotta get on an reconfigure thinks, so I'll keep the WiFi in mind.

I had a similar problem connecting the Wii at a friends house the problem just seemed to be the wireless phone in their house right after I moved the Wii away from it I got a connection right away odd since at home its in a similar position and has no problem connecting but whever works.

My Wii autodetected my wireless network and successfully connected to my network after I gave it the password but when I try to run WiiConnect24 or any of the other internet functions I get an error message saying it cannot connect to the internet.

Any ideas? Is there an option in the Wii Settings that I need to change to allow internet access?
