I've seen this happen for too many reasons like someone set the DNS, the old DNS HIJACK TROJAN or other infections, the expired antivirus. the over reaching security WiFi guard apps and so on. https://www.google.com/search?q=Wifi+on+Toshiba+laptop+only+connects+at+home.&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8 finds dozens of other reasons.
The symptom does not lend itself to "it's this." Tell more.
This problem has just recently started happening, with no apparent reason behind it. I have been able to use my Toshiba Satellite B5296 with Windows 8, and connect to internet anywhere with no problems for some time.
Recently, if I try to connect to my hotspot on my phone, or to the internet at the office with my laptop's wifi, it will connect, but connects and is limited or with no internet access. I was at a client's home the other night, and tried connecting to their internet, and had the same issues.
At home, I can use the wifi on my laptop and connect with no problems, but any other connection will not work.
Can anyone please help me with this?
