Question

WI/FI Music streaming

I Have a Simple Google Chromebox that i stream music with and use a computer speaker desktop setup with extension wires to other rooms and a outside porch. What i want to do is broadcast to remote areas of my property from 100 feet up to 2000 feet away to either/and speaker receivers and a headset/antenna receiver so i can listen to music in my greenhouses and while i'm operating a tractor etc. What do i need that i can hook to my google chromebox? I've seen short distance fm transmitters that rebroadcast from a live stream source but don't want to interfere with my neighbors etc. can i use WI/FI or something else? Thanks

At 300 I write it off. You're definitely into something you don't find in consumer products.

So do you think i should try the FM Transmitter to rebroadcast my streamed music? I Can get a 1 watt and 7 watt transmitter for 30 bucks and beam content to any FM radio and set the frequency to not conflict with real radio stations.

May be the only consumer alternative.

Given you may be in the USA.

I never advise taking this risk. The fines can be very high. They not only fine but add the cost of tracking you down. http://www.broadcastlawblog.com/articles/fcc-fines/ shows these start in the 5 figures.

If you broadcast copyrighted works, this can get very expensive.
