Ok so i go to put up a wifi on my Linksys wireless G router but here is the problem my wifi works fine but when i go to hook my computer up to it using a cable and have some one on the wifi going at the same time the wifi has problems it says there is a IP address conflict between the wifi computers and my cable computer

How did this happen?
How do i fix it?
and how do i prevent it from happening again?

I have little choice but to declare said router dead for this purpose and have no chance to check your work or the router's firmware version given what's in your posting.

Unless you reveal the settings, the router make, model, revision letter, firmware version and settings I have to take your word that you did indeed do what we asked and move to a summary judgment.

If there are any details you would like to share, I'll listen.
